Frieze Art Fair and you

This site is for you, even if you can’t make it to Frieze Art Fair. We hope it will open a window onto the fair and the art world in general, and inspire you to discover more about art.

Check out our Blog for images of the workshops, school visit to Frieze Art Fair, and for the links to any films made during the weekend workshops.

What is an Art Fair? will tell you something about the people who visit art fairs and the special nature of these places, which are somewhat different from museums and galleries.

Under Interviews you can read interviews and watch short films made with artists and curators involved in the fair in 2008. Find out what they do, and how they got to be where they are today.

Check out Workshops for Young People and look under School Workshops to find out about the artists leading four groups of 16-18 year olds from London schools in sculpture workshops. Here you cn also find the Frieze Education Archive from 2008.

In Weekend Workshops you can find out about the artists leading free, drop-in workshops for 5-12 year olds that run on the Saturday and Sunday during the fair.

Read critic D.Strauss's article in Your Voice to encourage you in looking at and talking about art, at Frieze Art Fair and beyond.
